About the Gulf Coast Harmonizers
We are singers, performers, friends, and fans of four-part barbershop harmony who have been entertaining Southwest Florida since 1992.
Harmony, Friendship & Fun
The Gulf Coast Harmonizers is a membership organization of singers who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize, and have fun.
Our members come from many walks of life and from across Lee County and the surrounding communities. What brings us together is a shared love of singing and the unique sound of four-part barbershop harmony.
Whether we are preparing for a concert, performing in the community, singing a Valentine, or simply rehearsing on Monday night, our goal is to create great music and enjoy the experience together.
What We Do
Performing is at the heart of the Harmonizers, but the chorus is also about learning, friendship, quarteting, and giving back.
Performing Chorus
Our main purpose is to entertain our community. We typically present two shows each year, perform at community events, and occasionally participate in district competitions. The chorus and our quartets are also available for private functions and special events.
Music Education
You do not need to be able to read music to sing with us. We provide learning tracks and educational tools to help members learn their parts and develop the skills needed to sing the barbershop style.
Quartets
Many chorus members also sing in quartets. From spontaneous foursomes delivering Singing Valentines to established quartets appearing at shows and special events, quarteting is a fun way to grow as a singer.
Community Involvement
Community involvement is one of our core values. In addition to performances for hospitals and care centers, the Gulf Coast Harmonizers has supported numerous charitable and community organizations.
